Aman has revealed the name of its first luxury motor yacht: Amangati, which meanings “peaceful motion” in Sanskrit—a fitting moniker for the brand’s debut at sea.

Currently under construction at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, the 600-foot vessel is slated to set sail in 2027.

Part of the Aman at Sea initiative first announced in 2021, Amangati is being crafted in collaboration with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. The name reflects the vessel’s core mission of creating a seamless sense of forward movement and refined tranquility, which echoes the elegant lines and meditative design that will shape the onboard experience.

On board the Amangati

Optimizing privacy and spaciousness, Amangati will feature 47 expansive suites—each with its own private balcony—making them among the largest accommodations found on a yacht of its class.

On board, guests will find a series of elevated amenities, including four international dining concepts, a jazz club, and a serene Aman Spa complete with a Japanese garden. A expansive beach club at the stern will offer direct access to the sea, cementing a connection to the natural surroundings.

Amangati will be powered, in part, by battery technology, as part of Aman’s commitment to minimizing its environmental impact.

Launching in the Mediterranean in summer 2027, the vessel will also be available for private charter.

The Hoxton has made its Scotland debut with the opening of the Hoxton, Edinburgh in the city’s vibrant West End.

Designed by AIME Studios (Ennismore’s in-house design studio), the hotel transforms 11 Georgian-inspired townhouses into a layered and lively destination that blends heritage charm with signature Hoxton style.

A warm welcome

The Hoxton Edinburgh Lobby seating area checkered sofa blue teal fireplace tile

Lobby seating area

A warm, eclectic spirit welcomes guests upon arrival. The lobby features layered materials and vintage-inspired textures, with white-and-gray checkerboard tiling, scalloped detailing, and timber parquet flooring guiding the flow. A vintage amber Murano glass chandelier suspends above, while inviting nooks and midcentury lounge chairs create moments for pause.

The brass-wrapped lobby bar—accented by peach tile and mirrored beer taps—nods to traditional taprooms, and a five-seat screening room tucked just off the space offers a cozy cinematic retreat with burgundy velvet seating.

A tapestry by local artist Jasmine Linington and a custom mural by Verity Woolley add a tactile touch as well.

The 214 accommodations, spread across nine room categories, draw from the building’s Georgian roots. AIME preserved original details—such as cornicing, sash windows, and soaring ceilings—while introducing playful modern elements, like raspberry-hued headboards, brushed brass fixtures, and midcentury chandeliers.

Walls are painted in contrasting sage tones, divided by a dado rail, with whimsical details like pineapple-shaped coat hooks and fringe-skirted armchairs that add a playful contrast to the classical backdrop.

Bathrooms feature white subway tiles, octagon-and-dot flooring, and vintage-inspired brass fixtures. Select rooms include skylights for a stargazing moment while soaking.

F&B and events

Anchoring the F&B offerings is Patatino, a trattoria-style restaurant that channels the leisurely spirit of long Italian lunches. Inspired by the Amalfi Coast and styled with theatrical flair, the space features mirror motifs, striped awnings, floral prints, and a dramatic Baroque-style fountain surrounded by banquettes. Rich textures and jewel-toned finishes—including deep blue velvet, green corduroy, and hot pink accents—conjure a layered, romantic setting.

Tailored to Edinburgh’s cultural and architectural grandeur, the Hoxton offers two distinct event concepts. The Get Together, a 3,230-square-foot, ballroom-style venue with a private bar and built-in stage, can host up to 250 guests. Concertina doors allow the space to be split for smaller gatherings.

Meanwhile the Apartment, a hallmark of Hoxton properties, comprises four flexible rooms surrounding a communal pantry with a kitchen that transitions into a bar by evening. Located on the ground floor, the space features herringbone parquet flooring, khaki green accents, and oversized bay windows that flood the interiors with natural light.

The Oberoi Group has unveiled its newest property, the Oberoi Vindhyavilas Wildlife Resort, located near Bandhavgarh National Park, India’s sanctuary for Royal Bengal tigers.

A design rooted in place

Oberoi, Vindhyavilas Wildelife Resort, Bandhavgarh dining room natural light floor to ceiling windows

Designed to mirror the natural beauty and heritage of the Vindhya mountain ranges, the Oberoi Vindhyavilas draws heavily from the local craftsmanship of the Gond and Baiga tribes.

Upon entering the resort, guests are welcomed by a monumental wooden entrance door adorned with tribal carvings handcrafted by Gond artisans. The entry serves as a striking invitation into a space designed to immerse visitors in central India’s rich cultural heritage.

The central lounge and bar, bathed in natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows, showcase pale Katni stone, a locally sourced material. The interiors are warmed by vivid Gond artwork that offers a modern tribute to the region’s indigenous communities.

Accommodations at the Oberoi Vindhyavilas

The property features 19 luxury tents and two expansive villas, each adorned with tribal artistry. Interiors feature handpainted wildlife imagery by local artist Rakesh Prajapati, while tented canopies are decorated with intricate tribal motifs.

Sliding glass doors open onto oversized decks and private gardens filled with flowering kachnar trees, creating a connection with the surrounding 21-acre forested landscape.

Dining spaces

Method Co. has announced the opening of the Nickel Hotel, a 50-key boutique property on Charleston’s King Street.

The debut marks the company’s second project in the city—following the success of the Pinch—and is a collaboration with New York-based Morris Adjmi Architects; Method’s in-house design team, Method Studios; and real estate investment firm Capital Square.

Located in the city’s vibrant Cannonborough neighborhood, the hotel is a modern nod to Charleston’s rich architectural heritage. Interiors draw inspiration from traditional Southern townhomes, and feature tactile finishes, custom furnishings, and a range of inviting communal spaces—from a tranquil courtyard and library to a guest-only cocktail bar and rooftop lounge Rosemary Rose (the latter will open to the public later this summer).

A standout first impression

The lobby makes a striking first impression with a hand-clipped European marble mosaic sign, checkerboard honed marble floors, and porcelain plaster walls and ceilings. A dramatic antique French tapestry rounds out the atmosphere.

A lush, European-inspired courtyard—framed by three tiers of ornate wrought iron balconies, copper gas lanterns, a wood-burning fireplace, and a two-tiered fountain—serves as the heart of the hotel.

Event spaces and F&B at the Nickel Hotel

Above the courtyard, the Parlour is a sophisticated listening lounge and private event space outfitted with oak herringbone flooring, leather shelving, a curated vinyl collection, and a wraparound balcony.

Other F&B options include Bar Daniel, a guest-only lounge named after Cannonborough’s founder, and Rosemary Rose, a soon-to-open rooftop bar with 360-degree views of Charleston. Taking cues from the French Riviera, the indoor-outdoor space features hacienda-style iron furniture, Moroccan zellige tile, and custom banquettes beneath an arched bar.

Extended stay guestrooms

Designed to accommodate extended stays, guestrooms boast full kitchens and ample lounge and dining space. Each room blends elegance and comfort through details like honed marble countertops and custom oak furniture. Meanwhile, bathrooms are elevated with hand-glazed green porcelain tiles and encaustic-style floors.

Many rooms offer private balconies overlooking King Street or the courtyard, too.

“The Nickel Hotel is located in the Cannonborough neighborhood, which is filled with great restaurants, cool coffee shops, and independent stores,” says Randall Cook, CEO of Method Co. “It’s exciting to be in the center of this area with so many creatives and young people—both locals and visitors alike.”

Bridgeton, the boutique hospitality group behind Marram Montauk and Journey East Hampton, has unveiled the full relaunch of Ruschmeyers, a historic Montauk property nestled on the edge of Fort Pond.

Originally a 1950s fish camp and later a beloved artist enclave, Ruschmeyers reemerges as a design-forward, community-driven retreat for a new era of travelers.

A summer camp reimagined

Now operating as a full-service hotel, the 19-cabin property has been thoughtfully refreshed by Bridgeton Studio in collaboration with Brian Smith (Scribner’s Catskill Lodge) and Whitney Clark (Marram and Dawn Ranch).

Guestrooms are outfitted with Donald Judd-inspired furnishings that unfold beneath ceilings painted in an energizing green. Bathrooms nod to Montauk’s maritime heritage, complete with brass fixtures and sail flag installations, while private patios with director’s chairs evoke laid-back summer days.

Connection at Ruschmeyers

At the heart of the property, the Grill at Ruschmeyers, led by chef Jordan Heissenberger (Buvette, Apollonia, Rucola), offers seasonal coastal fare in a warmly textured dining room lined with natural wood and framed by green accents that echo the guestrooms.

The outdoor lawn is designed for slow afternoons and communal evenings, with fire pits and lush tree cover. Meanwhile, a more spirited setting awaits at the Lounge at Ruschmeyers, where the design takes on an eclectic, elevated aesthetic.

The Malin has debuted its newest location in New York’s Flatiron neighborhood, introducing its hospitality-infused take on the modern workspace to a landmark building atop Equinox Flatiron.

Spanning 32,700 square feet, the two-story Flatiron outpost is The Malin’s largest to date, and marks its fifth opening in the city and eighth nationwide.

The venue includes 20 private offices, 36 dedicated desks, 21 phone booths, three meeting rooms, a 14-person boardroom, and two kitchens. A pair of library lounges and a light-filled mezzanine offer additional zones for quiet focus or larger gatherings.

Inside The Malin Flatiron

Designed in-house by The Malin’s team, the workspace honors the building’s industrial character, which is defined by soaring ceilings, exposed steel columns, and timber trusses.

Rather than reconfiguring the structure, the design team embraced a minimal intervention strategy that preserves the original layout and enhances it with flourishes like tall timber doors, signature archways, and tailored partitions.

A moody, tactile palette featuring natural materials and layered lighting is paired with solid oak desks, recycled crystal dividers, and a curated mix of soft textures.

The new location also unveils a partnership with Equinox Flatiron, offering exclusive cross-access perks to members of both communities.

A century after its original debut, the historic Winnedumah Hotel in Independence, California will reemerge this summer following a restoration that honors its 100-year legacy.

Built in 1925 as a retreat for Hollywood insiders (including Roy Rogers), the 24-room boutique property has been reimagined with a rustic California sensibility that nods to WPA-era National Park lodges, Shaker simplicity, and Japanese minimalism.

Winnedumah Hotel independence california sierra nevada interior suite table bistro chairsA modern tribute to the past

Nestled in the heart of Owens Valley at the confluence of the Sierra Nevada, Mojave Desert, and Great Basin, Winnedumah Hotel offers a hospitality experience rooted in place.

In the grand lobby, 16-foot ceilings, a native stone fireplace, and a curated collection of Eastern Sierra literature and photography set a warm, layered tone. Original furnishings—including writing desks, luggage racks, and mirrors—were carefully refinished to preserve the soul of the century-old property.

Amenities at Winnedumah Hotel

The hotel is anchored by a central courtyard facing the Sierra Nevada and a façade that looks out toward the White Mountains.

It also features an outdoor patio with sweeping views of Mount Williamson, a dining room that doubles as a flexible gathering space, and a curated retail selection.

A limited F&B program, along with complimentary coffee, focuses on hyperlocal offerings.

“Our vision for Winnedumah is to create an authentic and immersive experience that honors the hotel’s rich history while offering a refined, design-forward stay for today’s travelers,” says Coty Hastie of Black Walnut Partners, the private investment firm behind the project. “By thoughtfully weaving historic elements with contemporary design and collaborating with esteemed partners like Suay, In Common With, and DUSK, we’re excited to breathe new life into this storied landmark.”
